This means that we, Lasersheets, have extensively tested and approved this material to use in laser machines. LaserGrade wood cuts with a clean brown edge (instead of a black charred edge) and LaserGrade plastic gets a smooth edge without burning.
Please note; The maximum thickness of this material that your laser can cut depends on your laser power. Thicker plates require more power!
LaserGrade Diode
This material is suitable for your diode laser!
Not all materials can be lasered with a diode laser, but this one can. We have extensively tested this material on our own diode lasers and found it to work great. LaserGrade diode wood gets a clean brown edge after lasering (instead of a black charred edge) and LaserGrade diode plastic gets a smooth kerf without burning.
Please note; The maximum thickness that your laser can cut depends on your laser power. Thicker sheet require more power!

Black MDF
Description
This thoroughly colored wood fiber board is affordable, strong and (often) does not require any finishing.
Characteristics
Colored MDF is a homogeneous material with a relatively high hardness and stiffness. Compared to normal MDF, it is much heavier and slightly stronger. The surface is smooth and equal on both sides. It is not waterproof but does not discolor and remains relatively strong when wet.
Applications
Due to both technically and aesthetically favorable properties, it can be used for many applications. Some examples are technical prototypes, housings and other constructions, and signing.
