1. Acrylate

2. engraving laminate
Did you know that you can also engrave plastic? With these engraving plates you make beautiful information boards, front panels, jewelry and type plates. 3. HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)

4. Pp (polypropylene)

5. POM (Polyacetaal)
Pom is a strong technical plastic. It is durable, form -resistant, tough and it has a low friction coefficient. Because it is also chemically resistant and is possible against various oils, fats and fuels, it is widely used for laser cutting of sliding connections, adapter plates, gears and other machine parts.
In addition, it is also resilient and many of our customers use pom to absorb bumps and vibrations. We offer this technical plastic in multiple colors, dimensions and thicknesses.

6. Ps (polystyrene)
PS is a soft plastic. The advantage of this is that you can crop the edges by hand, if necessary. It is also flexible and can be distorted hot and cold into folded products.
Another advantage of PS is the relatively low price. Our customers use it a lot in models and prototypes, but also for making advertising products, lampshades and templates.

7. PETG (polyester)
The last of the plastics in our range is PETG, better known as a polyester. This plastic is cheap, flexible and strong. You fold it in the desired shape and the edges do not break. Compare it to folding a metal sheet.
PETG is also transparent, but if that is an important feature for you, we recommend that you choose acrylate. You use polyester for laser cutting of large forms. Because polyester is soft and the edges melt, you can neatly crop it with a Stanley knife.
What do you use PETG for? For example, our customers make paint stencils or origami-like projects. It is also used in model building as an alternative to acrylic. Note: Acrylate remains a better choice for detailed work.

The advantages and disadvantages of plastic in your laser cutter

The disadvantages of plastic:

- Glossy plastics can be scratch sensitive and fingerprints are clearly visible.
- With some plastics, the edges are not so neat, because they melt in the laser cutter.
