Sustainability
Sustainability is an important topic for Lasersheets. We believe in combining innovative production (e.g. laser cutting) with responsible materials, to create more environmentally conscious products.
Creating new products and objects will always have an environmental impact. But laser cutting makes it possible to make exactly as much as is needed. This means there is less overproduction, which reduces the burden on the environment.
Fortunately, there are now aesthetically pleasing and durable materials available in the market that unquestionably represent a more sustainable choice. We take pride in featuring a range of FSC® certified wood species in our selection. Additionally, we offer recycled materials within our plastics category. The market for sustainable materials is currently undergoing significant development, and we rigorously test everything that can be laser cut to provide you with the finest materials available!
This birch plywood comes from sustainably managed forests in Scandinavia. Read more about FSC® and how it benefits you here.
Our best-selling birch wood thicknesses, namely 3mm and 6mm, are FSC® mix credit certified.
Our most commonly used thicknesses, namely 3 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm and 9 mm, are FSC® mix 70% certified.
This way you can be sure that the wood comes from sustainably managed forests and that it is made into laserable sheets under good working conditions.
Bamboo plywood is a unique material constructed entirely of 100% FSC-certified layers of bamboo laminate.
Bamboo can be cut down to its roots and grows back extremely quickly. As a result, bamboo has a lower environmental impact than most types of wood.
PET felt is used for 70% made from recycled polyester (PET), such as PET bottles.
Due to the felt structure, these sheets lightweight but still stable. Designs made from this material are easy to recycle again.
