Not all materials can be laser cut with a diode laser, but this one can. We have extensively tested this material on our own diode lasers and approved it.
Please note; how thick your laser can cut this material depends on your laser power. Thicker sheets requires more power!

Properties
Acetate foil, also known as cellulose acetate, is a transparent material with a glossy finish. It is similar to PETG, but its features are unique. It is usually supplied in thin sheets or rolls. You can laser cut it in thicknesses between 0.1 mm (100 μ) and 0.5 mm (500 μ).
Transparency and gloss: acetate foil is very clear and glossy, which makes it an interesting choice for aesthetic applications in art and design.
Flexibility and durability: in spite of being thin, acetate foil is remarkably flexible and durable. It is an ideal choice for projects requiring flexibility and resilience.
Weather resistance: the material is resistant against moisture and other weather conditions. Because of this it can be applied both in- and outdoors.
Easy to process: acetate foil Is easy to process by (laser) cutting it, bending it, and shaping it.
Accurate thickness and thickness tolerance: available in several thicknesses, ranging from 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm and higher, with a small thickness tolerance, allowing for accuracy in product designs.
Applications
Stencils and moulds: as acetate foil is thin, strong, and transparent, it is ideal for use in stencils. Use your laser cutter to create complex shapes and fine detailing.
Electronics: acetate foil is used as an insulator and shield for electronic components because of its insulating properties and lightweight character.
Industrial labels and templates: the material is easy to stamp and cut. This makes it suitable for making labels, templates, and means for identification in industrial settings.
