PET felt

PET felt panels in handy sizes and 26 beautiful colours.
These panels, made from recycled polyester (PET), such as PET bottles, are 9 mm thick and available in the sizes 1200x600 mm, 600x600 mm, and 600x300 mm.

Properties

PET felt combines style with functionality. It is colourfast and hard-wearing, and offers excellent acoustic properties: it effectively dampens and absorbs sound. It is also UV-stabilised, moisture-resistant and easy to maintain. This contemporary felt is also highly recyclable, making it a sustainable choice. This PET felt weighs 210 kg per m³ and is strong and stiff.

Editing
As you would expect from Lasersheets, this material is ideal for laser cutting. With a CO2 laser of sufficient power, you can easily and accurately cut through the PET felt. For a 90W laser, a speed of 30 mm/sec is a good guideline.

Diode lasers can also be used, although the number of passes varies per colour. For example, a 20W diode laser cuts pink PET felt in 3 passes at 15 mm/sec, while some colours can be cut in 2 passes.

In addition, PET felt is easy to saw and cut, making it a versatile option for various applications.

Applications

PET felt panels are ideal for acoustic wall and ceiling panels in offices, schools and studios. They are also used for creating logos and decorative designs, for example on walls in business premises or showrooms. They are also perfect for office furnishings, such as partition walls and acoustic elements.
