A lightweight Plywood with a low formaldehyde content. Poplar is a soft wood species with a light color.
Properties
Poplar is a soft type of wood that can be laser cut to greater thickness than, for example, birch due to its low weight. In absolute terms, it is less stiff and strong than birch Plywood, but due to the availability of thick sheets larger objects can be made.
Applications
This material lends itself to load-bearing applications such as model airplanes, (large) boat models and art installations. It is also a suitable choice for signs and the like (if finished for outdoor use).
