Premium Engraving laminate

A plastic specially developed for engraving, composed of two layers of contrasting colors. Based on acrylic (PMMA) instead of ABS, making this sheet colorfast and suitable for outdoor use. Ideal for both laser cutting and engraving.

This material is exclusively suitable for CO₂ lasers. Acrylic does not 'grip' a diode laser well, regardless of the core color.

Features

Premium engraving laminate is ideal for creating durable, high-contrast, and detailed engravings. You can directly cut outer shapes and mounting holes with your laser cutter, making this laser engraving material versatile and easy to work with.

The engraving material is an acrylic (PMMA) laminate composed of two layers: a core and a thin top layer. During engraving, the top layer is removed, revealing the contrasting color underneath. With an engraving depth of 0.08 mm, you get fine, sharp, and clearly legible engravings.

Premium or Economy? Our Economy engraving laminate is an ABS laminate: cheaper, and available in variants that can also be processed with a diode laser, but it can discolor in direct sunlight. Premium engraving laminate is made of acrylic and is UV-resistant: the colors remain stable, even outdoors. The choice therefore depends on your machine and your application; if you have a diode laser, choose Economy with a black core. If you work with a CO₂ laser and your work needs to stay beautiful for a long time or hang outdoors, then Premium is the better choice.

In addition to laser cutting and engraving, you can also saw, drill, punch, glue, print, and mechanically engrave this material. Temperature resistant up to 80°C, break-resistant, flexible, and suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Laser Suitability

These engraving laminates carry the LaserGrade quality mark for CO₂ lasers. Processing with diode lasers is not recommended, because acrylic does not absorb the radiation from a diode laser well.

Applications

Premium engraving laminate is made for visual applications and is used for all kinds of signs. This engraving material is widely applied in laser cutting nameplates, type plates, and warning signs. In industry, engraving laminate is used for cable markings, front panels, and wiring diagrams, precisely where readability needs to remain intact for years.

Because this material is UV-resistant, it is also suitable for outdoor use: for house number signs, signage, and nameplates exposed to sun and weather. In the creative sector, engraving laminate is used for museum display boards, locker markings, and wayfinding.
