Description

Strong, affordable and easy to use.

Characteristics
MDF is a pressed and glued wood fiber board. It is relatively heavy but also stiff and strong. It is homogeneous, meaning the material is equally strong in all directions and places, and it has low thickness tolerances, with the thickness varying only slightly.

Applications
Due to its low cost and strength, MDF is ideal for all kinds of projects and prototypes. It is the most obvious choice for objects that are still finished or painted after laser cutting, or where finishing is not necessary. MDF is also a suitable material for technical applications such as 3D printer bodies. Some examples of applications:
