Laser cutting is an ideal way to cut out your logo. It's great for details, suitable for all kinds of shapes, and you have a wide choice of materials to match your brand. But how do you hang a laser-cut logo?
You can mount a laser-cut logo on the wall in 5 ways:
- Adhesive strips
- Standoffs with adhesive pads
- Standoffs with screws
- With a backing plate on the wall
- Adhesive dots
- Using sealant

Adhesive strips
Double-sided adhesive strips are the easiest way to hang your logo on the wall. These strips are transparent, adhere well to textured surfaces, and you can easily remove them.

Standoffs with adhesive pads
Do you want your logo to appear to float in front of your wall? Then use standoffs. Self-adhesive standoffs are designed for this and are attached with the double-sided adhesive film they come with. This way, you can easily stick your logo to the wall and create a chic effect.
With self-adhesive standoffs, make sure the logo isn't too heavy. If these holders don't work, then use the ones with screws.

Standoffs with screws
Standoffs with screws consist of two parts; you stick or glue one part to the logo and screw the other into the wall. Then you click the two together. You need to be very precise when doing this. Once they are attached, you can hardly get them apart again. This is a long-term hanging method.

With a backing plate on the wall
Do you want to hang a logo on a wall that is very irregular, or do you want to draw more attention to your logo? Then use a backing plate. Your letters will definitely hang straight, and it's also sturdier. This is useful if your logo contains many thin letters or lines.
As a designer, you can use a backing plate as a frame around the logo. A frame makes a logo stand out more in its environment. With your choice of material, you reinforce the atmosphere your brand should exude. Do you want a natural look? Then take a look at veneered MDF in contrasting colors.
You attach the backing plate to the wall with sealant, screws, or standoffs. You attach the logo to the backing plate with glue, sealant, or adhesive strips; this depends on the material.
Adhesive dots
Similar to adhesive strips, but round. This shape is easier to stick onto narrow letters. The foam core accommodates irregularities in the surface, but the adhesive strength is slightly less than that of adhesive strips.

Tip for Acrylic letters: only remove the protective film once the letters are hung, this reduces the chance of scratches.
Using sealant
You can also directly attach a laser-cut logo to the wall with sealant. This is relatively simple and also very sturdy. However, it is difficult to remove the letters again without damaging the wall. Read on to learn how to make a template so your logo hangs straight.
