What is Laserboard?
Laserboard is a lightweight and thin (0.5 mm or 0.9 mm) piece of cardboard, soaked in resin. Thanks to this resin, it's very strong, and you can even apply the smallest details without it breaking. The heat from the laser cutter does not deform the material and also does not cause soot marks.
For these reasons, resin board is an ideal material for use in model making. There is no other material with which you can achieve such fine details. With laserboard, you can create a facade with detailed windows and engraved crumbling bricks, a royal wooden staircase, or a beautiful walled front garden for your model design.

What You Can Make with Laserboard

1. Fine Engraving and Cutting
As already mentioned, resin board is very strong. You use it for cutting the most detailed images. These can be parts of your model, but also a drawing you made yourself or a photo you edited.
Flower petals are cut perfectly, your historical facade gains unprecedented details (down to hairline cracks in the stones), and even the antennae and legs of insects remain intact.
2. Stencils
Laserboard is also an excellent material to use for making stencils. You use stencils for applying images or texts to walls and objects. It is ideal for repeatedly applying a logo, for example. Laser cut a stencil from Laserboard that you can use to spray your own logo onto all your products.
The advantage of stencils is that they are reusable. By using multiple stencils, you can create an image with different layers and colors.
3. An Overlay for Your Finished Product
Our PolyBAK laserboard is also widely used as an overlay on another material. It is easy to paint, bend, and glue. Engrave an image into the laserboard and place it on the front of a cabinet, on a piece of furniture or lampshade, or on another object you have made.
